Great Day for Water Snakes

I met with Ryan today to do some herping.  Our target species was an Eastern Plains Garter Snake.  We didn’t succeed in our target but we did have a great day with Water Snakes.   We ended up finding all the Nerodia species available in the region plus a couple others.  Of course, buy the end of the day we both smelled pretty bad and had bled a little but we got some great photos to show for our effort.  Numbers are posted below and photos will soon follow.
