Spring Massasauga Hunt

I met up with Eitan Grundwald last Monday for some Massasasauga hunting in Illinois.  Everything went off with out a hitch; Eitan’s plain arrived on time, we made it to our destination on time, and we had found our first rattlesnake within about fifteen minutes of hunting.  The rest of the day was spent seeking out old barns and abandoned houses looking for flipable tin.  We didn’t end up finding much else the rest of the day other than a few Eastern Garter Snakes, a Plains Leopard Frog, and some Blanchard’s Cricket Frogs.  A very satisfying day spent in great company.
